Face it - You Would Never Do What Elon Musk is Doing

Everyone complains about government waste, corruption, and inefficiency, but when someone actually steps up to fix it, they get attacked from all sides. Then go on to imagine:
- The stock in your business dropped 54% overnight because you chose to take on a thankless job—for free;
- Your personal stake in that company was worth $323.97 billion, and then watching its value plummet to $173.97 billion - a loss of $150 billion of your own money just to protect free speech; and
- As if that wasn’t enough, then imagine taking on the most powerful system in the world, knowing you’ll be smeared, sabotaged, and ridiculed.
That’s exactly what Elon Musk is doing.
This is the guy that single-handedly solved the issue of electric vehicles. The same guy that solved the commercialization of space in a most innovative way. The one who revolutionized global internet communications by bringing connectivity to some of the poorest, most remote parts of the world through a constellation of low-cost satellites. An incredible inventor and innovator, somewhat like a modern-day Thomas Edison, that has built multiple billion-dollar companies from scratch.
Now, he’s trying to solve government waste and corruption—with no salary, no personal gain, and the entire political machine trying to take him down. Why wouldn’t we want someone like that in charge?
You’ve got to give credit to Trump for convincing him, because Musk doesn’t have to do this. He could sit back, make another few billion, and avoid the non-stop lawsuits, smear campaigns, threats and political landmines. But instead, he’s bravely taking the fight head-on. And let’s be honest - no matter what Musk or Trump do, people who don’t want change will never support it.
This is a herculean challenge and a real fight. And in fights like this there are no compromises. There are winners and there are losers, and I’d think we would want to be on the winning side and get behind those who are fighting for us. I know that I do.
Many of you who know me well have heard my oft spoken quote “The easiest thing to do is just to come clean and tell the truth – the most difficult thing to do is to look into the mirror and tell the truth to yourself.”
So, why don’t we look into our mirrors and ask ourselves - Why wouldn’t we want:
- A better country?
- To eliminate government waste?
- To lower crime and have safe and clean streets like Singapore or Dubai?
- A balanced budget so we don’t destroy future generations.
- To protect women’s sports, and promote the fairness of sports overall?
- Parents - not politicians - raising their kids?
- To demand higher food standards when obesity is killing millions?
- Full transparency in government?
This is our one shot.
If this movement works, it will create a global shift in how politics are done. Without change, we risk returning to a world defined by wokeness, division, and decay - where unity is sacrificed for ideology, and progress is measured in fractures rather than strength.
So, I’m making my choice. I’m going to buy a Tesla because I support people who take the risks that no one else will. And if you really care about this country, after you’re done looking into your mirror maybe you should too.
